[The work] encompasses compositions from 1988-1995. 'Studio of Quiet' is a recording for those who are tired of all kinds of pop music and, instead of looking for Western-style world music or new age music, can confidently listen to local production, this '乇匚卄丨ᗪN卂 卂ㄩҜŠㄒㄚN' cassette. The album's title is an allusion to the fact that while listening, you will find yourself on an island (studio) of quiet. The work is indeed peaceful, even monotonous, but only at first glance. I dare say, it is colorful monotony. There are quite a few moments in the musical fabric that remind one of fragments from Andreas Vollenweider's work. You can compare, or maybe I am mistaken?
By the way, if you're interested in my personal opinion, I can confidently claim that this is a cassette I would like to have in my phonothèque as a work that stands out from the mass production flow. Just one problem - you won't hear the last track of the first side to the end - it's simply barbarically cut off, though it's unclear why since there's still tape left. It seems that those who 'stamped' the cassette got bored of waiting for the end, just like the producers of Chinese musical production - as much as fits, that's fine. And it's a pity because 'The Studio of Quiet' is colorful monotony.
